As we had Boston Go Passes, this included tickets for the bus tour. We joined the queue at stop one and there was a shortish queue. With buses coming along every few minutes there wasn’t much of a wait. However as the queue was at the back of Legal Seafoods air conditioning extractor, there was a bit of a pong! The tour was ok but having done it a couple of years before we noticed things that were missed in the commentary this time around. No mention of the Holocaust Memorial or the Old State House house for example. Still the best way to get around for visiting all the historic sites.

Thank you for taking the time writing your review...due to traffic flow the drivers are required to keep up with it and at times stories, attractions and sights are added or deleted but all in all there is 100% content during the time onboard our trolleys. We hope that you visit with us during your next trip to Boston. Sincerely!

Before purchasing tickets, be sure you know where you want to get off because you are limited to one round trip. I’ve done hop on hop off tours in many cities and have never been limited to just one trip around town. I would have liked to take one cruise around town and then see what looked interesting and go back to those places. Plus, there are only 9 stops and no signs indicating the location for pick ups. Dick was our guide and was funny so that was a plus. I wonder if Old Town (with its 20 stops) is better? This game with my Boston Go Card so I was locked in to the two day ticket with City View. The tour info was good, but not being unlimited really made me give this 3 stars instead of 4.

Hi, thank you and we appreciate your comments...for a more time efficient experience we encourage our guests to plan their stops in which they will hop off/on ahead of starting their tour, we do this for good reason, many guests that had experienced going around once than hop off/on found out they ran out of time and wished they had that extra 60-70 mins to hop off at additional stop(s). CityView's brochure has a very comprehensive map showing the tour route and map index highlighting the points of interest at each stop making it a great way to plan ahead. Our guides are extremely knowledgeable and provide points or interest to the upcoming stops which result in a more time-efficient experience. Other problems may occur when high volume of guests would ride more than once, this could create backups at boarding points and limit the capacity to provide the best service possible. Any more than 9 stops are generally stops in front on hotels to pick up more paying guests and do not mean you get more touring...our route is the most comprehensive in Boston and covers more of the Freedom Trail than our competitors. We hope this helps for any future visit to cities with hop on/off tours. Sincerely,

We hopped on the trolley this afternoon expecting to just get to another part of the city. However, once Steve began talking about Boston, we were hooked!!! We stayed on the trolley for the entire hour through all 9 stops...this is a must do for anyone wanting to learn more about the city. Ask for "Uncle" Steve on trolley #108....You will not regret it!!!
