Charleston Ghost & Graveyard Tour
Meet your guide at a central meeting point, then proceed to the graveyard where you will hear about Charleston's spirits and gruesome tales such as: • The ghost of Sue Howard, a grieving mother who prays at the grave of her dead child from the spirit world. Your guide has the picture to prove it. • The Great Nullifier, famous rebel warrior John C. Calhoun. Find out why he and his wife still dance in the street every year, for over 150 years running. • Tales of being buried alive. Doctors in old Charleston didn't take chances with contagious diseases. Fall unconscious in a hospital, wake up in a grave.Learn why the terms saved by the bell and graveyard shift were coined. You will be glad you weren't around when they were. While other walking tours are looking in through the iron fence, you'll be on the inside. Learn the history of Charleston's haunted graveyards and hear tales about famous individuals who found their final resting place in the Holy City. Don't forget your flash cameras. You never know what phantom images you can capture...

Tour was OKAY, definitely not worth the money in my opinion at all. I have been on several tours in the Charleston/savannah area and the bulldog tours are always my least favorite. Most of the guides seem like they are obviously doing tours as a side job, most are obviously scripted and not very enthusiastic. I enjoy my tours to seem more like a fun experience and not like I am being taught in a classroom. I’d say that if you are wanting to do a ghost of history tour, find more of a niche company. Bulldog tours always feel very commercial and aren’t as fun or interactive as the smaller ones. Not to mention the prices are so high for what you get.

Alyssabethan, We are sorry to hear you were disappointed in the tour with us. When it comes to any great tour experience, it begins from booking the tour all the way to when the tour concludes. At the forefront of the experience is the guide. We at Bulldog do not use scripts. We encourage our guides to create their own tours based in historical accuracy. Not all guides tell stories the same way, which makes for more engaging experiences. Sometimes guests want more history, some want less. For that reason, there is a fine balance that needs to walked by the guide between history and ghost stories. Perhaps with another one of our guides, it would have produced a different outcome. Also, our prices do compete with any other ghost tour in Charleston. Since the tour did not meet expectations, we encourage you to reach out to our Tour Guide Manager, Andrew Kuhn, at [email protected] to discuss further. Thanks for the feedback and we hope to hear from you soon!

This is easily the 2nd most boring tour in Charleston. The first being Haunted Yorktown. I wasn't actually expecting to see a ghost but it would have been nice to have something a little more dramatic or theatrical. Our guide stumbled through stories and making matters worse other tour groups ended up close by at the same time so it was hard to hear...and I do not have a hearing problem. Just overly long and drawn out...pretty boring.

Maria K, We are sorry to hear you were disappointed in the tour. As you mentioned, we cannot guarantee that guests will see a ghost on our tours. We are storytellers, and the tours are filled with macabre stories of the past and present. With that being said, tour guides often have up to twenty guests on a tour and not every tour will the personality of the guide mesh with everyone else's. We would like the opportunity to make this right with you. Please feel free to reach out to our Tour Guide Manager, Andrew Kuhn, at [email protected] to discuss further. We appreciate the feedback and hope to hear from you soon!
