Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon
Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

This was an excellent way to wrap up our trip. Our guide Don't has had family in the area since the 1700s! We did a couple other tours while here and this was far and away the best. Charleston has a really cool haunted history and this tour brings the haunts and the history.

The tour was a really cheap price, so I thought it would be a not so great tour. However, itā€™s definitely the best ghost tour Iā€™ve ever been on. Other more popular tours sound kind of speech-like and give little attention to tour-takers. It felt more personal, especially since Burt gave his background in teaching history. It ran on a lot longer than expected, so youā€™ll definitely get your moneyā€™s worth! Very awesome and would recommend again.

My friends and I did the death and depravity tour with Bert, and he was AWESOME. Bert is such a friendly and personable guy, who expertly led our group through the spooky and fascinating stories of Charlestonā€™s history. He kept us engaged and entertained the whole time! It was a great experience!
