Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon

Stop by The Old Exchange & Provost Dungeon, one of the most haunted buildings in Charleston. Since the late 1600s, the Exchange and Dungeon have existed in one form or another. Once a walled prison, it has been a haven for those seeking freedom as well as a dark and gruesome spot for prisoners caught on the wrong side of authority.

This tour was so much fun! I have been to Charleston many times but have never done a tour like this. I wish I had! I learned a lot about Charleston's history and story. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and was able to share stories that I have never heard of before. This was a great tour!

Fun tour with lots of history and stories. We enjoyed the walking tour. Pace was good and sites were pretty by the light of the moon and street lights. Don was a great tour guide, he kept it fun. Thanks!

My 7 roommates and I went on the Death and Depravity Tour. We were utterly pleased to have Lance as our tour guide. He was not only hilarious, but he was super informative and knowledgeable about the area. The tour sent chills down my spine and was spooky, to say the least. I highly enjoyed the tour and would recommend specifically Lance to anyone who is visiting Charleston!
