My husband and I booked the 10AM historical carriage tour. It was well organized, prompt and the tour guide was very friendly and knew a lot of historical information. It covers many blocks of the city and took around 45 minutes. It was more comfortable than I thought it would be. We were assigned the last row with 2 other people. We learned a lot about the city and thought it was well worth the price of $45 each. They have restrooms and I believe water/snacks at the barn from where you depart. The buggy is pulled up to a stage and you step right on--very easy. Horses seemed to be well taken care of, too.

Great old horse Teddy and our guide was very good(his name escapes me) Very good information and enjoyable ride through the streets of Charleston. The driver does not know which tour you get until you get downtown and he is given a zone to go to so they don’t end up with all the carriages on the same streets since there are 4 carriage companies in town. Talked a lot about home, building and churches architecture. Great ride and good start to sightseeing. Then you can go back and walk and look. We had a beautiful day and a great time.
