This was not our fist time to the Emp State Building but found this time to be a huge disappointment and a huge waste of money as we were unable to see anything due to the weather. The museum was redone since we were last there and that part was interesting and informative. Admittedly, had the weather cooperated we might have enjoyed it more; however, I still believe it would not have been worth the price. Also, we supposedly had an elite VIP experience but there was nothing elite or special about it!

Definitely recommend visiting the Empire State Building! Not only is it iconic, celebrating it's 90th birthday, but also so much history behind this iconic skyscraper. Great presentation, photo ops for the whole family leading to the elevators and the staff is super friendly. Experienced the most breathtaking views up top from the observatory! No need for VIP upgrade, I had thought that it was necessary, but luckily a local talked me out of it and saved this money for souvenirs instead....just remember to show up 15 minutes before your designated time (they do check and they don't want you there too early) and you walk right in! Don't miss out on this!

I'm born and raised here in New York, Staten Island to be exact. This was the first time that I've ever been to the Empire State Building, and it will surely be the last. The security was rude and embarrassed me and my girlfriend. On the 86th floor, there is an opportunity to be outside one of the most famous buildings in New York and take photos. When we got to the 86th floor I had asked a security guard if it was okay to take our masks off, since they are required, while taking photos of ourselves, and he said it was okay. As we were taking photos the same guard came over to us and started to raise his voice, telling us to put our masks on. He kept saying "I don't care who you are" which I have no clue what that meant, stood there with his voice raised as we put the masks back on, and threatened to throw us out. Now, there were many groups with no masks on doing the same thing we were so it was very weird that he singled us out, but nonetheless, it was very embarrassing and ruined the entire experience. It is disgusting that as paying customers we were treated like this.
