Loved seeing real dinosaur bones! Very educational and lots of info available. You could spend days here taking it all in.

It had been since grade school since I had visited the Field Museum. It was not memorable in any way at the time. I took my 14 year old son to see the Wildlife Photography exhibit (a special exhibition since we both love photography) and purchased the discovery pass. Although the cost seems high, I was pleasantly surprised at the many regular exhibits that were exciting to visit, informative, and obviously updated. We visited the ancient world, dinosaurs - especially Sue the t-Rex, and gems and minerals. We enjoyed all of them. I was sad when I realized that they had hosted a Chocolate exhibition and we had missed it! We’ve visited the Natural History Museum in NYC and this was better in some ways! Way to go, Field!

My husband and I went to Chicago specifically to go museum hopping. To do that properly, you really need about 2 weeks. We only had 2 full and 2 half days. We got a City Pass and visited the Field Museum on day 1. The campus around the museum is impressive, and I recommend renting city bikes to get there. The interior can feel daunting, so if you can review maps and plan in advance, it's worth doing. We were more spontaneous and almost missed the headliner, Sue the T-Rex! We had been going for 3 hours and getting tired, so we had to get caffeine and rally. There are countless displays of nature, culture, geology and history. Any student of life will appreciate this collection.
