Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Really enjoyed our tour with Sarah! She used pictures to help the stories come to life. We loved how she tried to get us to picture what it would have really been like living during the timeframe of her stories. Her intonation, humor and explanations made it very easy to follow along and stay engaged. She was very conscientious of making sure our whole group could hear her. Amd, I loved her walking pace. Sometimes I feel like guides move to slow and I felt like she kept us moving! Finally, we followed the trail on our own a couple years ago but seeing the buildings without hearing the stories and context did not give us a good perspective. Definitely worth taking a tour like this!

Thank you, Stephanie! We really appreciate you leaving such a generous and detailed review of Sarah's tour—no question, she's a talented guide in all the right ways! With only 2.5 hours to travel as much of the trail as possible, we always try to keep the pace brisk, without flying across town. And we may be biased as a walking tour operator, but we couldn't agree more: walking the Freedom Trail with a great guide like Sarah is the best way to experience Boston history! Hope to see you again soon.

Sarah was a great tour guide! Her telling of history was engaging to both young and old. She told our country’s beginning story in a way that brought the events we studied in school into a linked visual that thoroughly explained their connection and how we arrived at the point of the American revolution. Thank you for a delightful walk through our history.

And thank you for joining Sarah on the Freedom Trail, Carolyn! Sarah knows how to bring the folks and fables of Revolutionary Boston to life, and there's really no outdoor classroom that can match the Freedom Trail when it comes to understanding the foundational years of our country. We sincerely appreciate your supporting our small business with this 5-star review—hope to see you in town again soon!
