Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

Nick was an amazing guide. He has an extensive amount of knowledge which was wonderful. He transported me right back to that time with the events and the people that were part of it. I teach US history and felt like Nick did a thorough and unbiased approach to this time. I so appreciated his attention to detail and stating what was facts and then what was fiction. He was absolutely amazing!I highly recommend this tour. We did take it with my children who are 10 and 15. Unless your children have a strong interest in history I wouldn’t recommend this tour for children under 12 because of the length and content.

All tours are designed for every audience level, but we agree: our tours are best-suited for school-age children and older, especially our 2.5-hour stroll into the North End. For the younger set, we typically recommend our 1.5-hour tour visiting the landmarks in Downtown Boston only.
