Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Drew was an amazing guide for our freedom trail tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Boston and made it entertaining for the whole tour. He made sure that wherever we stopped for him to talk during the trip that we could stand in the sun or the shade to make everyone comfortable.

Boston is such a walkable city, but shade and quiet are definitely at a premium within downtown! Drew has conducted tours on the Freedom Trail for years now, so he knows both the history and all the best places to stop. Thank you for choosing our small business for your Boston tour—we love hearing that it was a 5-star experience!

Had a wonderful time on this 2 hour walk through the freedom trail. Darcy was amazing!! She was incredibly knowledgeable and had a clear strategy on how to get us through the congested areas without unnecessary delays. She kept the tour moving very well while also sharing insight into all of the areas of interest. There were about 4 stops along the way were you get to sit while the guide shares history of the area, which is helpful for those that need a rest along the walk. Would recommend for those that want to learn all about the freedom trail in a relative short walk and time.

Every tour is only as good as its guide, and Darcy knows how to keep folks comfortable and engaged on tour. Thank you for writing this fantastic review, Ignacio, and supporting our small business!

First time visit to Boston, so we wanted to get a general overview of the city and historic sites and this was perfect for what we were looking for. Drew did a terrific job on our tour. He was very knowledgeable and went from place to place seamlessly. He easily kept our group together on the busy sidewalks and gave us information in a lively and interesting way. I’m not a history buff, so I appreciated that he placed everything in context for us. I would highly recommend?
