Freedom Trail: Small Group Tour of Revolutionary Boston (2.5 Hours)

Overview
Boston's principal role in launching the American Revolution is linked by the brick-lined Freedom Trail. This world-famous pedestrian path is best experienced on foot, in a small group, with a knowledgeable local guide! This 2.5-hour tour travels the trail from Boston Common to Copp's Hill Terrace, providing guests a chance to see ALL SIXTEEN official landmarks on the Freedom Trail.

Our small-group walking tour delves deeply into the years 1760 to 1776, the tumultuous years leading into the American Revolution. We walk in the footsteps of Colonial Bostonians, all of whom grappled with the difficult—yet essential—question of loyalty or rebellion to crown and country.

With a captivating storytelling approach, Hub Town Tours provides the perfect introduction to Boston's status as America's "Cradle of Liberty." As we travel past historic landmarks from Revolutionary Boston, your guide shares the gripping story of a small colonial town careening toward war with a global empire.

Sarah, our guide, was knowledgeable, patient and informative. She brought us back to the 1760s. We saw large tours beside us that looked chaotic. Small group is definitely the way to go!

As tour guides, we couldn't agree more about keeping groups small, Ann. The Freedom Trail is incredibly popular (for good reason), but crowds always get a little crazy in the summer. Thanks for joining Sarah along the trail—we're so lucky to have her on our small business team!

Our tour guide, Nick, was excellent. He has a masters in history and was full of knowledge. He covered the years leading up to the revolutionary war, focusing on Boston and Boston people. It was very interesting. Nick was an excellent guide.

Thanks for choosing Hub Town Tours, Jeff! We try to bring aboard only the best guides for our small-group tours, and Nick certainly fits the bill. As a local historian and professor, we're so fortunate to have his skillset on our team! We'll let him know how much you appreciated his tour.

Definitely informative! Nicholas R. was very educated and took his job seriously. He told us a story as we strolled along each stop. This helped to understand history easily. My only concern is a longer break to grab a drink or snack. Bring your own since the bathroom break does not provide enough time to look for refreshments.

Thank you for sharing this feedback—we're elated to hear that you found Nick to be a professional and passionate historian! We always try to allow for a brief restroom stop during our 2.5-hour tours, but feel there simply isn't enough time to take a longer break for food and drinks on tour. Rather than cut down on the historical narrative, we suggest that folks bring their own water and snacks, as you mention. Thanks for supporting our small local business!
