This walking tour was just terrific...volunteer led, by long-time New Orleans residents with a passion for their one-of-a-kind city. Our guide, Dionne, just exuded kindness and intelligence, and she clearly cared about the stories and people who have made New Orleans interesting for 300 years. We took this tour near the end of our 2 weeks in the city, to give ourselves a better context for all the sights we'd already seen. It would be equally good at the start of your visit, to give you a feel for the architecture and cultural background of the French Quarter. Really interesting, truly enjoyable, would highly recommend.

Although the tour was scheduled for two hours we were all having so much fun learning the history of the French Quarter in great detail. There were only four of us so it was easy to stay together and to her everything said in spite of it being a particularly busy Saturday. Ann was so knowledgeable in all the smallest of details I do not know how she kept so much knowledge at hand. We learned so much which made the rest of our time in the French Quarter even more enjoyable. Thank you Ann!

Josh V. was our guide on March 8, 2018. He did an excellent job of bringing NOLA history and culture to life. He discussed traditional foods, architecture, the impact of weather/hurricanes, amusing “urban myths” and other quirky tidbits that made the city even more charming. I highly recommend Josh as well as the Friends of the Cabildo organization. The 1850 House museum was also very good.
