Due to the nature of this tour and the safety of all guests, the tour operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or show signs of intoxication. If, as a result, your tour is canceled, you will not be entitled to a refund.
Due to comfort and weight / balance of the aircraft, passengers weighing over 300 lbs (136 kg or 21 stone) will be required to purchase an additional seat. This is payable directly to the tour operator on the day of the tour.
The total combined passenger weight (including pilot) cannot exceed 1240lbs (563kg)
There is a maximum capacity of seven (7) people per helicopter, plus your pilot.

What To Expect

Lake Mead National Recreation Area

Experience the beauty of the Grand Canyon from the air and ground on this helicopter tour from Las Vegas. After being picked up from your hotel approx 90 minutes prior to the flight time listed, you'll be driven to the heliport where you’ll board your air-conditioned Eco-Star helicopter. On your way to the Grand Canyon’s West Rim, soar over Lake Las Vegas and Lake Mead.

Hoover Dam

As you fly over the Hoover Dam, you'll be left in awe at this particularly spectacular sight from the air, curved between the rock canyon walls. Marvel at this architectural wonder and enjoy the amazing views of the recently built bypass bridge. During your flight, you can listen to a recorded commentary about the Grand Canyon and its surrounds via headphones.

Grand Canyon West

As you reach the Grand Canyon and fly deeper and further into the canyon than any other helicopter tour, land on a private bluff overlooking the flowing Colorado River. From this incredible perch over 3,000 feet below the canyon rim, toast to your experience with a glass of Champagne and a light snack. While you celebrate and relax under an authentic Native American ramada shelter, your pilot will be happy to answer any questions you have about the canyon or your helicopter flight.

The Strip

Back in the helicopter, enjoy another 45-minute flight back to Las Vegas, this time flying over the world famous Strip. When you land, your transportation will be waiting to whisk you back to your hotel. Please note: Per FAA regulations, all passengers 18 years and older will be required to show photo ID such as a driver's license or passport at the time of check-in.

My husband and I booked this helicopter ride and I can’t even begin to tell you how amazingly awesome this trip was! They picked is up from the MGM Grand. The driver was friendly and the van was cool ( it was in the high 90’s) and clean. Once we got to their building, we were greeted and briefed on what to expect. At this time masks are mandatory. Our pilot was Kaci and she was wonderful and very knowledgeable, pointing out points of interest along the way. Thank you for such a great, over the top way to check off seeing the Grand Canyon from my bucket list!

I did a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon. Starting with the helicopter, top notch! I mean, a beautiful helicopter. My pilot was also amazing. He answered our questions as we flew over the Canyon, and really knew everything. The ride was so smooth, it was just flawless. I never once felt nervous, and I saw things alot of people can only dream of seeing. Breathtaking, beautiful, and just so comfortable. Will I do it again? You bet I will! I cannot wait to visit Vegas again, and take this tour. Is the price worth it? You bet it is. I'm not going to ruin it, but I can guarantee you will never see this much of the canyon without spending weeks hiking and climbing. Is it safe? Beyond! State of the art helicopter, excellent pilots, and just so smooth! If we did have any bumps, I didn't notice! The view is so amazing, you are just numb and thrilled. I never once felt nervous, and being able to talk to the pilot over the headset is great. I was in excellent hands and would do it again in a heartbeat! Is it worth doing? Once in a lifetime experience, and absolutely stunning is all I can say. When the tour was over, I felt rejuvenated. The Grand Canyon is just unreal. Pictures will never do justice for how amazing it is. How about bringing the kids? Yes! Absolutely! Of course I wouldn't suggest an infant, as that alone is a hard job. But I would highly encourage bringing the family along. I saw lots of kids climbing into the helicopters. Would you do it again? Yep, in a heartbeat!! And I would book Maverick again.

I decided to do the Wind Dancer tour with Maverick Helicopters while in Las Vegas earlier this month, Mar 7 2020. Everything about it was perfect and I cannot recommend it enough. From the online chat session I had booking the flight, the shuttle ride, the check in process, the pilot, the trip itself. The actual tour and scenery was nothing but incredible but our pilot, Khale, was superb! He answered all the passengers questions, and informed us of so many fun facts en route. He made the trip fun...and I liked his playlist that we heard in our headphones. I would absolutely take this trip again and again.
