I am convinced after this tour it is the only way to first go to the Grand Canyon. As Mitch from Dallas approached the West Rim, we had a bogie dead ahead and one to our 6. We slowly eclipsed the rim of the west rim and it was as if God we’re shooting beams of light through His nose hairs into your soul. It was beautiful. Mitch was fantastic. The shuttle picks you up on time and they ran a first class organization.

Pilot Wayne Jones gave us a phenomenal experience. After researching safety records of various carriers, I picked Mavericks and glad I did. They exceeded my expectations in every way. They picked us up at the Wynn right on time and everything was handled efficiently. The EC 130 Jet helicopter was pristine and our pilot pointed out everything in detail so we didn't miss anything. I was impressed with his knowledge of the geology of the region. Our landing at the west end of Grand Canyon was spectacular. We got to see Hoover Dam as well as Lake Mead and fly over the Las Vegas Strip before returning. Their terminal and waiting room is very comfortable and new. Would definately choose to fly with them again.

Just to make sure you know the point of this review from the beggining, do not take any trip with the company!! If you want to know the reasons please read all below. On Wednesday the 21st of August 2019 at 9am I had the opportunity to travel to the Grand Canyon with this company Maverik and a pilot named Miguel. My bad experience started when I fisrt tried to book the tour online but as I was not in a hotel (I was hosted in a house) I could not continue with the booking, so I called the line, but at the moment the question about in which hotel I was hosted arrived and as a reason of my answer that I was not at a hotel the call was hang out by the agent. I had to call again to book my trip , on this moment I was able to do it without any kind of problems in spite I was not on a hotel. The day of the trip since the begining, Miguel the pilot was very rude inclusively using bad words mostly in spanish, he got upset with me, fisrtly as he did a very quick explanation about how to attached the floater to us in case of emergency, I attached it uncorrectly, so he came to me and without any explanation and with a rude way he quit it to me and asked me to put it again correctly without mentioned me why it was put in a bad way so I proceeded to put it again, when he saw I had attached it in the same way than before he got very rude to me and said I had to put it again and gave me a quick explanation using a rude tone of voice so I proceeded to attached the floater. While we were in the helicopter the temperature inside was extremely high (not sensation that any air conditionieng was working), so If you have problems with high blood presure as me, I will not recomend you to use this company. When we arrive to land Miguel gave some explanations in english about the bus we should use to go around the Grand Canyon for visiting the diferent points of interest, at the end of the explanation I asked him something abut the bus, so he decided to talk to me in spanish, as he knew I could speak both languages and I think avoiding on this way to be understandable for the other passengers, he said in Spanish that I had to take the "cochino bus" that in English would be the "fu### bus" and also he used another strong mexican word to complete the explanation (I could understant the second word at the moment but I could not retain it as I am not mexican). Also Miguel was very insistent with all passengers, he mentioned we would need to make the entire tour on the Grand Canyon the quicker as we could without giving any recomendations of the time on each place. He said we would have just three hours to complete the tour (not the 3.5 hours mentioned on the package I boght), but as he was very insistent with the time, he tried to conviced the passenger not to visit the Hualapai Ranch in order to avoid to lost the flight back to Las Vegas. So most of the passenger returned very quick to the airport in the Gran Canyon (in spite I visited all points I had to do it very quick in spite of the 115 degrees on the site), so it took me just 2 hours to complete the walking-bus tour around the Gran Canyon and as myself all passenger spent just around 2 hours (we lost 1.5 hours of the original 3.5 hours). When we were taking the flight back to Las Vegas , Miguel did not check if everybody had the security belts correctly attached, he did the process quick and he used a rude way to designated me the seat inside the helicopter. The temperature inside the helicopter during the trip back was worse than the way in, I was really feelling bad. When we returned to Las Vegas airport, all the other passengers gave him a tip (the rude behavior was just with me), but I decided not to give him a tip as I considered he was very unprofessional, so he went close to me and using spanish words he said to me "somos probres" in english would be "we are poor". To finish with some additional information I took the Wester Journey Tour with a cost of $453 including the Skywalk, the time of this tour is 7 hours (just be careful , this estimated time is from hotel to hotel, so for real the tour is just of 5 hours).
