Our rafting trip was a blast and Justin was the best guide - he made the trip so much fun, was incredibly knowledgeable, and very safety-aware.

This was a great experience, but I think it is better-suited for folks new to rafting. I took my kids (9 and 13), and it was a little too on the "mild" side for us. I have rafted the Arkansas in Buena Vista/Salida and the Ocoee in eastern Tennessee, and my boys have also rafted the Snake in Wyoming. We were looking for a few more thrills more in line with those experiences. Most of the float was calm water with only one small section of real whitewater. Still, it was beautiful, our guide Nancy was wonderful, and we had a great time. I just want to manage expectations for those looking for a more exhilarating time on the water!

Thank you so much for your review! This is certainly a mild time to raft the Animas, especially this year since it's been rather dry. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with Nancy!
