Overview

What could be better than experiencing some seriously world-class big game fishing in a truly tropical paradise? Come aboard the Kona Cowboy and get ready to cruise the beautiful, blue waters of Kailua-Kona, HI, for the angling adventure of a lifetime!

You’ll be setting out on your adventure in a 35’ Bertram sport fishing boat that can accommodate up to 4 anglers. We'll be targeting Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, and plenty more. we'll have you trolling as soon as we leave the harbor. You'll be provided with top-quality fishing gear to help you battle and reel in your dream catch.

Anglers of all ages and skill levels are welcome aboard!

Capt Shawn and Kimberly are awesome hosts! We had so much fun, that while on the boat, I texted my coworker that I'm never coming back to reality (if only that were true). We did a little over everything. Fished, stopped to snorkel at Capt. Cook, swam with dolphins, saw some humpback whales, and did some much needed relaxing. Kimberly is professional photographer and we got some awesome shots of our time on the boat. I can't recommend them enough.

Thank you so much Captain Shawn & Kimberly (the Captain's wife), for the great day fishing & beautiful pictures.This operation definitely delivers! We trolled for the first couple hours and caught a nice striped marlin, which our deckhand promptly cleaned and packaged up for us. Then they went to the "fish cage", so the kids could put some lines in the water and man did they have fun! They were each able to catch a couple nice size tuna and our deckhand, Hannah cleaned those for us too! I really liked the cushions they put on the end of the rods, it made it easier for the kids to hold. The boat was extremely clean and I was very thankful for the coffee maker :) They also have everything you need if you forgot something, even toothpaste and toothbrushes! no excuses kids lol. The most considerate people I have ever had the fortune to pick for a charter. Needless to say, we will be back and we are going to tell everyone we know about the "Cowboy".

Captain Shawn and his wife Kim took us out for a morning of fishing. This is our second trip with Shawn and as usual,he worked his tail off to find fish. Our first trip we caught a 186 lb. Blue Marlin and this trip we caught a 500+ lb Blue Marlin. If you want a professional crew, a great boat and to catch fish, the Kona Cowboy is your boat. Can't wait for the next time.
