Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Palmer was an amazing guide. Tours guides are not at all the same. Since the City eliminated the requirement for tour guides to be certified, there are plenty of guides who are well meaning, but do not have the proven knowledge this tour operator. Palmer took us through a well paced immersion of downtown history. So engaging, helpful, and informative. I love guided tours by true historians. Outstanding.

I have been on quite a few walking tours, incl one in Charleston, but this was simply outstanding ... from the attention to details, being engaging, to the sheer passion in what she did ... the best one that i have ever been on. Well done, indeed!!!

We have been lucky to have visited Charleston once or twice a year for several years now. When we do, we always try to include a tour with Oyster Point --- we have come consider an tour with Oyster Point a "must" when visiting. We try to have a tour early in our visit as it reorients us ... starts our visit off on the right foot by reminding us of all that is Charleston, its history, and its charms. We have had tours with Palmer, Bill, and the Captain and all three are knowledgeable, informative, and entertaining. Highly recommend.
