Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Bill Harris is well versed in Charleston history and is passionate that his clients understand the correct version of and importance of that history. Canā€™t wait to do another tour with him!!

Parker our guide was passionate about Charleston and it showed! We had been on recent 'trolley' tours in St. Augustine and Savannah which were informative, but this tour was unique and Parker solicited questions and involved us and recognized our personal interests in Charleston.

We had a day to spend in Charleston, and very fortunately chose this walking tour as one activity. Bill was very engaging of all members of our group and made us want to find out more about the places and events as he described them. He is clearly very connected with the history and was very effective in sharing that with us. If you want to see the architectural and historical features that make Charleston unique, as well as find out all the details behind them, this is definitely the tour for you!
