Highlights of Charleston Guided Walking Tour

Overview
Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Palmer is incredibly passionate and informed about Charleston, its history, and every single nook and cranny of the city. Best walking tour I've ever been on...highly recommended for anyone looking to know more about Charleston.

I decided to do a walking tour and this was one that worked into my schedule and came highly recommended. What a great way to spend 2 hours! Bill was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge and extremely passionate about the city he's adopted. He didn't skip over the painful past and he had knowledge on just about every topic that you can think of historically about this city. Truly--a special treat. You wont be disappointed.

Went with my wife on a long weekend getaway and could not be happier that we did. Palmer is like a walking encyclopedia with her knowledge of the city! She is very engaging and you can tell how passionate she is about the subject matter. Even in some pretty intense heat (for a Northerner) we had a great time. I would highly recommend the tour.
