Our two hour Highlights of Charleston walking tour guides guests through the historic French Quarter and South of Broad neighborhoods of downtown Charleston. Along the way, your guide will describe the long history, unique culture, architecture, and geography of Charleston and the greater lowcountry area, painting a detailed picture of how Charleston's tumultuous past formed the city now beloved by travelers the world over. You'll view some of the city's oldest houses of worship, burial sites, theaters, the forts of Charleston harbor, and the antebellum mansions that look out across the waters of the Cooper and Ashley rivers, among many other historic and picturesque sites. Our guides also offer their expert advice on other activities, restaurants, and bars for guests to explore once they've finished their tour.

Palmer was so full of knowledge on our walking tour of Charleston! We saw so many beautiful sights and learned so much about the architecture and history of the town. Worth every cent and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

Bill is an outstanding tour guide. Be prepared to be awake and alert! We arranged a private tour for our group of 8 and it was excellent. Although we didn't cover a lot of geographic territory, we gained an in depth understanding of Charleston history from 1670 to post Civil War. In depth discussions of economic, religious, architectural, and general historical and geographic matters were all covered in a lively and fascinating way. If you do not want a superficial walking tour, Oyster Point is the one you want. Thanks, Bill.
