Historic Little Italy in Cleveland
The majority of Italian immigrants came to Ohio in the late 19th and early 20th century. As the years passed and the community immigrated into the rest of the community, one thing in the neighborhood has never changed is the food. The best Italian American cuisine can still be found in the area, in restaurants all within walking distance of each other. Our Little Italy Food Tour will explore the Cleveland Italian culture that has existed for generations; its people, its philosophies, and most importantly its food. We will enjoy specialized dishes from a variety of restaurants; some long standing, some new to the area, while we take time to appreciate the contributions of Cleveland's rich Italian culture. Your Food Tour may include the following: • Cheese fcured meats from a local italian market • Housemade pasta • Brick oven pizza • Authentic Italian-American meatballs • Food Network personality's favorite cassata cake

We loved the Little Italy tour! Carol, our guide, was a native to the area and gave us insight of the development of the Little Italy and their growing pains. She walked us around and shared some unique eateries as well as their transition to the amazing places they are today! The food and wine we had were definitely worth the trip as well!

Carol was enthusiastic and informative. I enjoyed talking with her. Unfortunately, I was in the rest room when the tour ended and she left without me getting a chance to say thank you.

We took this food tour in July 2019. It was very good. We had i one person who does not eat pork, and I didn't think to mention it before hand, so that was a little tiny problem. 2 of the stops included pork. Our guide was Great. She was very knowledgeable of the area and the history. Sort of disappointed with the food though for the amount we paid. Antipasto at the first stop, pasta at the second, meatballs and pizza at the third, and cake at the last. For $65 each. The antipasto and the meat balls contained pork. We had fun, you could purchase wine or a drink at the three food stops, the guide was very nice and good. It was a nice afternoon.
