What To Expect

Capitol Reef National Park

We will pick you up at your location in one of our custom Range Rovers. Refreshments and comfort items such as warm blankets, if needed, will be provided. Guests will be transported to one of our unique, spectacular dark-sky viewing locations where they will experience an unrivaled viewing of the awe-inspiring majesty of the Milky Way. Guidance and astronomical information will be provided to make the experience more complete. Finally and best of all, we will provide one-of-a-kind, personal, and exciting dark-sky portraits of our guests showing them, the amazing terrain around them, and the stunning Milky Way as a backdrop! Guests will then be transported in comfort and luxury back to their location.

We had a great experience! They worked with us and were flexible the night we booked when the skies we cloudy and we were tired from a long day of travel. They gave us the option of pushing back later or waiting until the next night to try again. Our experience went very smoothly. They picked us up from our hotel and took us away from lights. We took our pictures and then we talked about the stars and constellations. They told us many stories and identified quite a lot. It was a beautiful night with storms and lightning on the horizon, the Milky Way in full display and many shooting stars putting on a gorgeous show for us. We received the pictures back quickly and they were incredible. I would highly recommend this experience!

It is difficult to write this review about the Milky Way Portrait near Capitol Reef National Park since I have mixed feelings. While the tour itself was enjoyable, the communication prior to, and after, was unsatisfactory. After the booking on Tripadvisor, I did not receive any further communication from the vendor. I had to contact the vendor a few times, on the day of the event, before receiving details about the pick-up time and location. We ended up waiting outside over an hour after the arranged time to be transported to the photo site. They took photos at one site and then took us to another spot to spend some time viewing the night sky. It has been over one month since our visit and I am still having difficulty receiving our digital photos. Overall, I am disappointed, as I was looking forward to the photos as the primary souvenir from a very special trip.

Beautiful evening, knowledgable tour guides who were especially patient with our eight year old grandson who had nearly as many questions as there were stars in the sky!
