We enjoyed the most amazing sunset tour. We were running late due to construction and my inability to read that Navajo time is not Arizona time. We called to let them know. Shay was understanding and let us know not to worry. We arrived at The View Hotel about 10 min late. Ran in to potty then down to the meeting place… they were gone. Oops. No worries a wonderful woman who realized our dilemma shuttled us to the first stop where we met up with our group. Now for the important stuff! Toney, our guide, was phenomenal. He took time to explain and share stories. He played a drum and sang songs. There were other guide services that we’d run into. I didn’t see any other guides do this. Toneys energy for telling stories ( you know he’s told three or more times a day for 30 plus years) was amazing. He took time to take photos of each group and help us find the best places to take photos in general. We don’t normally splurge on things like this. We’re so glad we did. There are things you wouldn’t be able to access without a guide snd there is no better guide than Toney! The seats were comfortable. It was a little bit of an effort getting in snd out of the vehicle but doable. Bring a blanket and remember you’re on sand so if the wind blows… 100% recommend Toney and MV Safari.

We had a wonderful tour of the entire Monument Valley. Our guide, Toney, went out of his way to explain the views and history and he made sure we were able to get many memorable photos we will cherish.

When we did our homework via Trip Advisor and discovered review after review after review complimenting Toney, we had to meet this fellow. And what a meeting it was! The 3 1/2 hours we spent with Toney (and his wonderful wife/partner Donna), were filled with information and entertainment that went far beyond a "tour/guide." We happily echo all compliments and kudos from other TA reviewers. We can recommend unconditionally. And when you are fortunate enough to be in beyond-words-breathtaking Monument Valley, and sign on with Toney, say hello for us...and like us thank him for his three daughters' public service.
