This was our second trip to Monument Valley and we, again, opted for the guided tour. As great as this place is to visit, it's only half the experience. Without a great tour guide, you're missing out on the Navaho history and culture, and the geological origins and local meanings of the unique sandstone features. Our tour guide, Bobby, was awesome! Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed his knowledge, wit, and laid-back personality. What made this trip memorable for us is that we were able to visit sites that weren't open on our last trip. However, the most moving part of the tour had to be Bobby's flute solo at one of the caves. It was very solemn, relaxing, and fit the moment.
