Had a exciting rafting trip down the lower New River. John Henry was a great guide. He was skilled and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend the ride and the staff.

We chose the West Virginia Adventures for our very first rafting experience and so VERY happy we did!!! The company may be SMALL in comparison to other companies in the area, but they are MIGHTY in their knowledge and experience on the river. We were treated on a personal level and not number, which made our first time one to be remembered. Our guide for the day was John Henry, he was great!!! His knowledge of the river and the rapids along with the history of the area was very enlightening. We chose the day trip on the Lower New River which included a very nice lunch and break before we continued our afternoon rafting experience. We also had the opportunity to stay in the cabin at the base camp of the rafting company which made for a very convenient and comfortable stay. This may have been our first trip rafting but I am sure it will not be our last!!! We will be back for sure!!!! Thanks again Rob and John Henry for the hospitality and AWESOME rafting experience!!!

I've taken guided rafting trips down the lower New twice now, and this year, we had these guys guide us. They were really great - fun, funny, very skilled, not intimidating or condescending at all. The guides knew the river, of course, but seemed to have a personal connection to it, which made it fun and interesting for everyone. Lunch was nice, too.
