We, my husband and two adult daughters and I, spent most of a day with Kelly exploring the New Orleans food scene. Kelly was a wonderful guide and we learned much about New Orleans culture, the music scene, and Mardi Gras. Who knew you had to dodge carved coconuts thrown from floats during Mardi Gras? Kelly told great stories about New Orleans and gave us suggestions for restaurants to try on our own. She took us to places we would never have thought to walk into and the food was wonderful. Grilled oysters, warm muffaletta, praline stuffed beignets, gumbo, sausages, beans and rice, and the list goes on. The tour was proof that you can find good food anywhere in New Orleans, no need to stick to the big name restaurants. We had fun wandering around with Kelly in the rain, she always had a smile and a wonderful laugh. This was a very special tour.

Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback and for leaving us a 5-star review, it was our pleasure to have you with us! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our walk with the amazing Kelly! Each of our culinary walks is the outcome of considerable research. We work with academics in the field and our own team of experienced professionals – both guides and local journalists. We are proud to know that the money spent during the culinary walk goes to support businesses that we believe in, helping to preserve the social and cultural fabric of the cities we love so dearly. Most importantly, of course, we take pride in working with people who are very knowledgeable about and extremely fond of the cities they live in. You can check out your Culinary Backstreets Passport on our website to see the stamps you have collected. We hope to see you again soon in one of our cities. All the best!
