The Breakers

Tour includes Admission to ONE of the following Newport Mansions: The Breakers, The Marble House, or Rosecliff. The Breakers is the grandest of Newport's summer "cottages" and a symbol of the Vanderbilt family's social and financial preeminence in turn of the century America. *As of January 3, 2022 all Preservation Society of Newport Mansions are requiring proof of vaccines for all children aged 5 and up. As of January 15, 2022 all adults must also show proof of their Booster Vaccines. This policy is No Exceptions!

Our narrator was named Ray and he was a native of Newport. Having grown up there he had such interesting fact and information.It was a very nice trip.

I did not get a chance to get off the bus for pictures or anything. We were dropped off at breakers and we were supposed to be picked up by 1240. We went to the meeting place at 1230 and we waited half hour for the driver who never showed up. $90 was a rip off

The tour was truly exceptional. It is a great way to see Newport if this is your first time visiting which it was for us. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and had some of the greatest stories about Newport and its history. We stopped twice, once for a self-guided tour of the Breakers and a nice stop along the way to take some great scenic pictures of the coast. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to get a good sense of the area. And you get to ride around in a great looking trolley. A win-win for sure!!!
