Chena Hot Springs Resort
After wandering through the cool museum, don your bathing suit and enjoy the resort’s legendary namesake. The revitalizing mineral water soothes muscles with its warm temperatures of 106 degrees F (41 degrees C) year-round. You can also soak under the stars in an outdoor hot tub, or indoors in the heated pool. In between, slip away to the Aurora Café or the historic Resort Restaurant, where you can purchase meals, snacks, or beverages. When ready, join your expert guide for a small-group outing to view the Aurora Borealis. Your guide will lead you through one of the best places on earth to witness the green and purple illuminations loop across the night sky. Wait and witness the celestial wonder with hot beverages in the late evening, when viewing opportunities are the highest. The lights are also visible inside the cafe's Aurora Room, which serves as a comfortable and warm location for viewings. Note: We can never guarantee the Northern lights sighting.

Jake was an excellent travel professional, on time, knowledgeable, informative, the Chena hot springs resort visit is a MUST! the ice museum, the hot spring pool, dinner was delicious ( order the crab legs) we weren't lucky with the northern lights, it was snowing...so I am coming back!!! For that. Fairbanks is one of the friendliest places on earth 💖

We got a call before our scheduled tour and we were promptly picked up in a comfortable van. The drive to the resort was comfortable and Angie even stopped at the one general store on our way to Chena (I would recommend bringing your own water to the resort as they only provide sulfur water and bottle water if available). We arrived at Chena and it was a bit chaotic but Angie took care of getting the lanyards for the hot springs and telling you where to go. If you could eat dinner before the tour, I would highly recommend it- the food was expensive and bland, beware of the water as it smells like the hot springs (eggs). Note: they do not accept Amex. Then you head to the hot springs, they provide you a towel (make sure to bring multiple coins or bills to exchange for quarters and slippers). The locker room, shower, and stalls are disgusting. I would highly recommended wearing flip flops and as the floor was filthy. This is no fault of the Alaska Wildlife guide but being that they bring guests here through their tours it has to be said- the Alaska Wildlife guide should provide this feedback to them. The hot spring was wonderful it was 12 degrees out and the water temp is 109. At 11:45 you start to wrap up for your drive back to Fairbanks. The Aurora lights were not visible that night at the hot spring nor on the drive back. Angie was a great tour guide! She made the drive entertaining and was awesome about taking pictures of us in the hot spring.

Lexi, our tour guide communicated to confirm the time we were going to be picked up and she was very punctual! Then the to Chena Hot Springs was amazing and the information provided by Lexi was much relevant. The outdoor pool experience is one-of-a-kind! The Chena Hot Springs Resort could improve their facilities by keeping their showers an dressing rooms cleaner and more organized. On the way back our tour van got stuck on the road on the way back and when we were trying to see the Aurora Borealis. Lexi exhausted her power and went above and beyond to make sure the whole group was comfortable while the situation with the vehicle was resolved. My hats off to her for her efforts and hard work. Lexi was very professional and provided excellent customer service throughout the whole entire tour time! And she found the Aurora Borealis for us!!
