This 2+hour tour is led by local, licensed NYC tour guide, Greg Marro, with Italian family roots in the neighborhood since 1884. St. Anthony of Padua

St Anthony of Padua is the first church built in the Americas for Italian Catholics. We will see the church's Romanesque interior complete with magnificent marble altar and Corinthian columns.

Father Demo Square

This quaint square's vista of the church's bell tower juxtaposed with the fountain, gives tourists a look into Italian American of this neighborhood.

Our Lady of Pompeii

See this gorgeous Italianate 1892 Church, the only NYC Roman Catholic Church with weekly Sunday Mass in four languages: English, Italian, Portugese and Tagalog/Phillipino.

At first I was apprehensive about the price, but it ended up being the part of our trip that we talk about the most. Greg was super friendly, welcoming, and motivated to share a part of New York that is very dear to him. It's not just a tour of the food but of the community and people that create it. Give him a shot and you won't regret it.

The best part of the tour were the dessert stops, especially the Brigaderio - little chocolate candies made by the Italians in Argentina. Watching a real pasta machine was fun too.
