The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

We went for the Cave Kayak, and our guides were Ana and Danielle. They were wonderful guides! AND if you laugh at their jokes they will make sure you don't tip over! (JOKING) We were able by grace of God and Mother Earth able to actually go into the caves and WOW what a great time! A stinky sea lion came right up to our boat! It was a wonderful surprise! the trip was fun and the knowledge and demeanor of these two wonderful guides was what turned it from good to GREAT! Thank you Ana and Danielle for a memorable day!

For a guy who's not big on being in a small craft in deep water, I think that I would do this again. Danielle was an awesome tour guide who showed us around the waters and shared some history about the shores and the area. The weather was perfect and the water was calm. We got to see leopard sharks swim beneath us, dolphins swim by and the seals just being seals. It was awesome! Big thanks to Reuben, and my wife of course, for helping me shake the nerves and actually getting into the kayak. Kristen was a great help on getting us stoked and getting the right wetsuits. Our tour was on October 19th at 11 am. I am forgetting the names of the woman working the front desk that day or other two guys that were out there who cheered us on for bringing a "classic" waterproof disposable camera, but they were all amazing! We saw some sketchy decisions going on with another tour guide company while we were out there and thanked ourselves for going with Everyday California.
