Original La Jolla Sea Cave Kayak Tour for Two

Overview
The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

Just purchased a Groupon offer only to learn AFTER buying it that the date we wanted is sold out. The process is backwards in using your Groupon! You do not get instructions on booking & checking availability until after you purchase the Groupon. This is unacceptable. There should be a way to check availability to use the Groupon BEFORE purchasing it.

Amazing tour. See the sea lions was the best part. Part of the tour you go through a cave, very cool.

We had actually booked our tour for a Tuesday at 11am. Unfortunately, the weather was bad and the tour had to be canceled - but Everyday California called us and we were able to reschedule for Thursday 9am the same week. In general, it was super easy to get in touch with the provider and everyone we spoke to on the phone was super nice and helpful. We enjoyed our tour with Katya and Danielle and learned so much about the habitats of the ocean and the animals living there! Sadly, the waves were too rough to go into the caves, but safety is obviously more important. Be prepared to get wet, as our kayak turned around on the way back to shore. It was a bit surprising but quite a fun experience and super safe thanks to the helmet and life vest provided.

Hey Rahelk, I want to start off by saying thank you for being so patient and understanding. We could not have said it any better "Safety is obviously more important". That's the mentality we have inlayed when we are out on the water. Mother nature is unpredictable and sometime we have to make the tough decision to cancel tours in the best interest of you and all of our other guest. As cool as the caves are, they can be quite dangerous so we always tell our guides to make good decisions and ensure we are making sure every is safe on the water. None the less it sounds like you had a nice tour and quite an eventful ending. Thank you again for coming out with us, and we hope to see you again soon.
