The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

The staff was the most amazing people, our tour guide was amazing, fun, professional. Our experience was absolutely perfect. The scene was totally worth it. We’ll be back to over and over again. Other rentals around were rude and careless so, this place treated us so well. 5 star 5.000 times.

The experience was amazing! We really enjoyed our time on the water, and the time spent in the Emerald cave. Get there early because finding the shop wasn't easy!

Traffic is usually tough by the beach, and parking can be even worse. But once you are out on the water it's all worth it. We hope to see you and your friends out here again.

We found a Groupon coupon for this specific kayaking tour. Although the Groupon experience was unsettling, Ezra was able to help us redeem the coupon. FYI for anyone using Groupon to FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS IN GROUPON. When we did the actual tour, Jack and Jenna were our instructors. Jenna pushed myself and my boyfriend out into the ocean. We were hit with the waves but luckily for my boyfriend I was taking the hard hits. Once we got out into the water, Jenna explained so much about the sea life and pointing out all the different sea creatures. Overall it was a great experience. Even if you’ve never kayaked on the ocean, I still recommend you to try it. Just don’t bring your phone without a water case!
