The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

we had SO much fun!! we went on a saturday at noon and the weather was perfect. my boyfriend and I went on a double kayak together and it was relatively easy! once we paddled out past the waves, it was pretty calm. we had the best tour guides, Joe and Nora! they were so much fun and helped us out if we had any questions. they also taught us a lot about the sea life and caves! prepare to get SOAKED paddling out. LOL. the waves were pretty rough getting out but it was worth it!! definitely wear a bathing suit :) they provide helmets and life jackets. overall, such a fun experience and I definitely wanna do it again!!! request joe and nora for your guides if you can they were the best!!!! 10/10 experience for sure!
