Overview

The Original Sea Cave Kayak Tour (90 Minutes in Length) offers unforgettable guided tours through the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. Each tour is lead by experienced guide(s) who ensure participants safely navigate through the unique ecological habitats while seeing different types of marine life.

This highly-protected and unique area boasts one of the highest concentrations of sea-life in the West Coast. Guests commonly encounter seals, sea lions, and a multitude of birds and fish, and lucky guests might even see dolphins or whales!

Towards the southern end of the Ecological Reserve, La Jolla's Seven Sea Caves patiently await, allowing participants to witness their beauty. Weather permitting, participants can kayak through the large sea cave that goes from the ocean into the Emerald Cove.
Entry into the Emerald Cave depends on the safety, and is not guaranteed. Participants must be five years or older to participate in the tour.

Valid for up to two people to ride in a double kayak.

This was a great first time kayak experience with Everyday California. The booking was easy and when Aviator cancelled by mistake, Everyday California made a 1pm booking same day happen for us. The kayaking is fun and easy and the staff really is relaxed and helpful to total amateurs like me and my partner. They even provided a wet suit for him because the water can be chilly. I had no wetsuit in late August and the top half of me was dry and the bottom half was wet but not freezing cold, just wet. Take advantage of their lockers to stope all you valuables and don't take anything of value out to sea as it will just get wet. Ben, our tour guide was very friendly, helpful and genuinely wanted us to have fun out on the water. The best part I liked was some marine biology education on the species and habitat while we were kayaking. Al in all, a great way to see the beautiful waters off the shores of La Jolla and a very enjoyable couples day in two person Kayak. We even got a great restaurant recommendation for a late lunch at the Shore Rider just down the street. I would heartily recommend this trip even for the faint of heart
