Punchbowl Crater is an extinct volcanic tuff cone located in Honolulu, It serves as a memorial to honor those men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces, and those who have given their lives in doing so.

Next to the skyscrapers of the island main business district you will find important landmarks like the Iolani Palace, King Kamehameha statue, the Kawaiahao Church and the Aloha Tower. This area is also the seat of Hawaii’s government, home to the Hawaii State Capitol, Washington Place and Honolulu Hale.

Because Hawaii was a last minute trip for me I couldn’t get a regular reservation. I booked a tour instead and it was perfect because David, the tour guide, picked up near my hotel and gave our group a wealth of information on the thirty minute bus ride. He was emphatic about telling us the timing of our tickets so we wouldn’t miss anything as he couldn’t come in with us. I learned so much about what happened at Pearl Harbor from David. When we left Pearl Harbor he took us around Honolulu a bit as well and showed us a few sites. I will not spoil it for the reader… I loved the ease and small group, and the professionalism that was delivered with a bouncy personality. I highly recommend this tour.
