Residences of the Presidentses Walking Tour: Dupont & Kalorama

Overview
[Tours are generally offered March through October. Please note that this tour is recommended for people ages 13 and up.]

DC is the city of presidents, and this is the tour that gives you the most POTUS for your buck. This is a great way to see some of DC's most beautiful neighborhoods, away from the big tourist crowds on the National Mall. If you love history, trivia, politics or walking, it's a great way to enjoy the nation's capital.

Your guide is a former journalist and stand-up comedian obsessed with the presidents -- Chris White has been to almost every presidential birthplace, home and grave in the country.

This tour usually departs at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. Please check the start time before completing your booking.

2
Washington DC
In the Kalorama neighborhood, we'll see the homes of Herbert Hoover, Woodrow Wilson, Warren Harding, William Howard Taft and Dwight Eisenhower. Plus we'll swing by the spot where Ronald Reagan very nearly lost it all. You'll get to hear about the amazing era when tons of power players flocked to the same small area ... and reshaped America.

Chris is very knowledgeable as well as personable. We learned a significant amount of information, and saw many Interesting and historical presidential homes, as well as other local historical sites. He takes you directly to places where history happened! We highly recommend this tour! (And we already are doing so to family and friends). DLB

Chris was fabulous. I THOUGHT I knew the area and subject matter, and yet he highlighted and illuminated countless facts and anecdotes unknown to any of us. His personal enthusiasm and well researched grasp of the subject made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Not only do I highly recommend this tour, but will personally be ā€œjourneyingā€ with him again myself on his other tour offerings!
