We stumbled on this tour after not booking anything in time. Honestly feel like this was the best tour we would have gotten regardless. 1. Michael has an AMAZING speaking voice that makes everything and every story he tells so much creepier and more ominous. 2. Michael has personal stories that show he has experience with what he’s talking about but he’s not corny or over the top with it. 3. Most importantly for me I spoke to Michael after the tour about how to refer to enslaved people (not referring to them as slaves because it’sa verb not a definition of a human being) and I was SO happy he was willing to listen and not only that but also amends his language for future tours. He’s so friendly and approachable too, will definitely return to his tour when we come back! Thank you Michael!!

The guide, Mike, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He had a great presence, loud enough for all to hear and asked often if there were any questions. While walking would chit chat with everyone. He also included some of his own experiences, which were very interesting. There are many tours to choose from (you could tell by all the others that you walk by.) But as I eavesdropped on other tours I’d definitely recommend this one! Thank you!
