What To Expect
1
Hana Highway - Road to Hana
The Hana Highway is a 64.4 miles long (103.6 km), longest coastal scenic route in the world.
2
Paia
Just four miles into your drive to Hana from Kahului, you'll discover the historic town of Paia on Maui's north coast.
3
Ho'okipa Beach Park
Hookipa Beach is considered the windsurfing capital of the world, you can enjoy watching wind surfers, kite boarders and surfers challenge the ocean waves and shoreline winds. This is also the threatened Hawaiian Green Sea Turtle capital of Maui along the shoreline and basking on the beach all day long
4
Twin Falls Maui
Twin Falls is the first easily accessible string of waterfalls and pools on the Road to Hana.
5
Haipua'ena Falls
Haipua'ena Falls is a small waterfall and pool along Maui's popular Road to Hana. Thanks to the unsigned trail and short hike over an often muddy path, the pool receives far less visitor traffic than the well-signed falls along the route
6
Keā€˜anae Point
The Ke'anae Peninsula is a dramatic half-mile long massive finger of newer lava sticking out from the cliff line of the Hana Highway.
7
Ching's Pond
Very photogenic spot to get photographed doing something life threatening.
8
Upper Waikani Falls
Located just beyond Mile Marker 19 on the mauka—or mountain side—of Hana Highway, Upper Waikani Falls is often referred to as Three Bears.
9
Wailua Falls
The waterfall of all waterfalls. Absolutely stunning, and a popular photo op for Maui marketing brochures!
10
Hana Lava Tube
It's the 18th largest lava tube in the world and the largest by far on Maui. Winding your way through the extensive cave, which reaches heights of up to 40ft
11
Hana Bay
Hana Bay Park is a centrally located county park and beach that serves as a town center for Hana.
12
Wai'anapanapa State Park
Wai’ānapanapa, which means glistening waters, with Pailoa, its famous black sand beach and stunning coastal views.
13
Pua'a Ka'a State Park
It is a must-see along the Road to Hana. This is the place to stop if you're looking for a typically Hawaiian swimming hole and waterfall to swim under. The water is from a natural spring, unbelievably clean, but very cold.
14
Wailua Valley State Wayside Park
located just past mile marker #19 on the RIGHT hand side of the road. There are stairs on the right, leading to a vantage point that provides views of Wailua Valley, Keanae Peninsula, distant waterfalls, and the Koolau Gap when facing inland.
15
Honomanu
A favorite among fishermen, surfers and local families, Honomanu Bay epitomizes seclusion. It rests at the base of Honomanu Valley, a verdant expanse of volcanic wonder—and the second largest valley on Haleakala's northern slopes—with rises that stretch 7,000 feet into the sky.
16
Kaumahina State Wayside Park
Spanning 7.8 acres and densely forested, it grants visitors up-close-and-personal views of African Tulip Trees and Paperbark, as well as sweeping vistas of Keʻanae Peninsula (and the vast, oh-so-blue ocean).

The tour was so much fun! It sounds like they're still going even after the fire? If so, I'm really glad to hear it. It's an easy recommendation for anyone visiting Lahaina if they're still operational.

This is a must do for almost any age and ability! Start off in a very nice facility and instruction process. Tom was very laid back but strict in the training and really well versed on the tour information. We really enjoyed the headset, so you will not miss any of the historical information while maneuvering your Segway. Top notch equipment gave us the confidence to maneuver easily through all of the humps, bumps and turns on the streets of Lahaina. Several stops along the way were right on time, which were necessary for historical briefings. We are avid Segway tourers in many destinations around the US, and we all agree that Tom, of Segway Maui, is at the top of the list! Mahalo, Mike

We had such a great time learning about the city of Lahaina! It was a beautiful Maui morning and an amazing way to start the day. We did this as a family (5 of us), one being my 74 year old mother in law. She was nervous and our guide Tom, was amazing…going through all the training with us, being so patient and kind. By the end of training, we were all ready to try! The tour Tom gave us was so interesting, informative and riding the streets of Lahaina was so fun! Highly recommend this activity! Such good mems!
