I spent ages researching tours to the Grand Canyon before we left for our holiday. I chose this one as it also stopped at the lava fields & Sunset Crater, the Wupatki ruins and the Cameron Trading Post in the Navajo reservation. I'm SO glad I chose this tour - not only was it great to visit all the other locations but we felt we had really 'done' the Grand Canyon by the time we left (although we did go back by ourselves the next evening to watch the sunset and do a little star gazing). At the Grand Canyon we were taken to areas with less (and sometimes no) other tourists which gave us the most amazing and unobstructed views of the Canyon. We were given time to explore the Desert View Watchtower, the Kolb Studio and even walk a little of the Bright Angel Trail. Of course most importantly, we were given a little time at each vista to drink in and appreciate what we were seeing. Our tour guide was great, so informative and set the bar so high that none of the tour guides from any subsequent tours we took in the US came anywhere near. The tour delivered all it promised - and more! Would could never have seen all we did on that day if we tried to do it ourselves in the time we had in the area. If you're thinking of going to Vegas and taking a tour from there to the West rim, I would say if you can possibly stay in Flagstaff for a couple of days to take this tour instead, please do. Vegas was my original plan from LA so we could go out and do the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam from there. Instead we went to Flagstaff, did the Hoover Dam on the way to Vegas and then spent a couple of nights in Vegas. I think we would have been very disappointed if we had gone with my first plan. PS. I had the vegetarian Navajo taco for lunch, it was SO good! It was also massive - I managed about a third so I'm sure it looked like I didn't enjoy it but it was lovely.

First, I was staying at an AirBnb and the company arranged a pickup at a motel close to me, going the extra mile. Sheldon, our guide, was friendly and prompt and REALLY went the extra mile to let me move my car to a close public lot since I was concerned about being towed...huge appreciation there! There were nine of us in our group, "our family" for the day, and it was a blast. Sheldon provided all the info we could possibly want to know about things along our route, at our first location through our final drop off. We stopped for scenic views, to walk on lava fields, six points in the canyon, incredible lunch at the Cameron, and a nice little stop to explore at the Village, especially the El Tovar which is so pretty. Sheldon is passionate about the GC; I asked if he ever got tired of seeing it; his response "Never". There were so many "little" things a person on his own would miss, like "step over here for the view of (fill in the blank). The spirituality of the entire place is so evident; an experience not to be missed. If I am fortunate to be back in the area, I will definitely go with this company again and hopefully get Sheldon as the guide. You won't regret making the decision for a tour, especially if you are a first time visitor.

This tour is all day and very fun. The stops on the way to the canyon are just as amazing as the canyon itself. Our guide Ty was great. Can't say enough how cool he was. Native Arizonan that really knows the people and area. You get to walk around and touch history that most probably don't know. The meal provided was excellent. Navajo tacos are the best. The trading post is very nice too with authentic made gifts from the area.
