I don't normally write negative reviews, but my experience was not in line with the reviews I read and many people buy (very expensive and time intensive) tours based on reviews and the experience was inconsistent with the description from the company.
TLDR: if you value comfort, information and time in the park, I don't recommend. The only benefit to me besides the beauty, was getting driven, but that might be your main draw. Some of my concerns may be common to tours, I've only been on one which was amazing and the opposite of this.(Big Wheel Tours to Joshua Tree-couldn't recommend enough). This may be specific to the tour guide, but it seemed like the issue was the structure.
more details:
I never received a confirmation e-mail from the company with pick up information- time and place (because my hotel wasn't on the list)-I had to call .
The bus was incredibly cramped (11 highly uncomfortable hours in the bus) and vaccine cards were not checked. The tour guide was also the driver and gave us virtually no information about the park because they needed to focus on the driving. Our education consisted of two documentaries.
It essentially felt like an instagram tour- we spent 10-20 minutes at 2 sites, got a lunch break - we did have an hour to do a tour which our driver discouraged us from doing because it was mildly challenging. Small gripe, but the tour site says we'll be taken to some great local stops to pick up lunch- that was a supermarket twice (and a fruit stand which was nice).

I am not sure what tour you were on, but this is a review of the same trip on the same day: “This was a fantastic tour! We were a little unsure of how enjoyable a 14 hour tour would be but it was great from beginning to end. Our tour guide and driver, Victor, was brilliant. His knowledge and energy had us entertained from 6am to 8pm. We would love to go back an explore more of Yosemite but this tour really gave us a taster of lots of highlights. If you have limited time in the area but want to see Yosemite, this tour is definitely worth it. Thank you very much to Victor, he really made this experience awesome”
Your review includes several untruths:
1. We contact everybody the day before the tour to confirm pick up time and location. You were contacted. You must have forgotten.
2. Your hotel was not listed, because you were staying at an Airbnb on the far side of town. We sent you to a hotel near public transportation and accessible parking to make it easier for you.
3. You say we only made two stops in the park. You must’ve slept through the other stops that the other people on your bus experienced. We make more than any of the other one-day tour companies. At minimum, we make six stops, generally more.
4. You said you got no information from the driver who played two documentaries. The trip to the park is three hours. The documentaries help pass the time. I have a feeling you would’ve complained if we had played music, or if the guide spoke for too long.
5. No where on our literature do we talk about local foods. And in the summers, we DO stop at a very unique fruit market on the way up to the park, which you seem to have enjoyed.
We have not received a review like yours in the past five years. We are sorry you did not enjoy the tour, but we hope people who read this review realize that some of our guests are just impossible to please.
