Thanks to the California Dreamin team for an amazing perfect Christmas morning. We had such a great time. I thought to myself, "what a cool way to have and run a family business." The breakfast on the vineyard after the balloon ride was icing on the cake. Looking forward to returning soon.

This was our first balloon ride, and it was an amazing (I do not use the word amazing frivolously) experience! My fiance, who is afraid of heights, was unfazed at all. It was so peaceful and beautiful soaring in the air. Kudos to our pilot, David, who was very knowledgeable and thoughtful. And the rest of the ground crew, they were fantastic, too, friendly and hands-on. It was a very cold morning the day of our ride. But there was blankets for anyone that needed one, and outdoor heaters to keep people warm, which was very helpful. We did the ride on my birthday, and there was a "Happy Birthday" banner and cake, too. Thank you, California Dreaming!

Three of took this tour in September 2010, couldn't in 2009 since the winds were too strong. Ever since reading 21 Balloons in school, I thought it might be fun to go up in a hot air balloon. I convinced my Dad and Sister and we booked California Dreamin' while we were already in California on vacation. Very early morning activity in order to see the sunrise. You can actually see the ocean a little over the hills. Staff was very friendly and very safety concerned. You get taken by van to a field where the balloon is being filled with air. Then after it is blown up, you get to climb up into the basket which is no easy feat. I was surprised that you never go higher up than I think it was 500 feet. As you soar over the wineries with their vineyards, you can see the properties pretty easily. The landscape of the mountains and the greenery from the vineyards is truly amazing accompanied by the sun rising in the distance. Then you land in a field and try to get out of the basket which is a more than waist high in height to climb over. There you stand in the warm sun while the staff deflates the balloon and packs it up into the van to drive back to the start of your adventure. After arriving back to the property, you gat to enjoy pastries, fruit, and mimosas with your fellow balloon mates in a small garden. Nice way to finish up for the morning after a vary amazing and thrilling adventure in the sky.
