Experience the thrill of catching a wave on Oahu’s North Shore, known worldwide as a surfing mecca. Head to Haleiwa and learn the basics from a licensed surf instructor who stays by your side, ensuring you catch gentle but rideable waves. Beginners, hang loose — your 2-hour lesson takes place in a protected cove at Haleiwa Beach Park, safely away from larger ocean swells. Choose from multiple options: group, semi-private or private family lesson in the morning, midday or afternoon.

My 15 yo daughter and husband did a group lesson for 1 hour. Carol was amazing! She did a great job. They both were able to stand up and surf! We are from Michigan so this was the first time trying. It was a great experience and one we will never forget! We would definitely recommend North Shore Surf Girls!!

I recently returned to the North Shore, and OF COURSE I needed to take lessons with The North Shore Surf Girls again! I have returned to this company time and again over the past 3 years because the instructors have always made me feel welcome, safe, and encouraged. The staff genuinely seem to love sharing this sport, and I couldn't recommend NSSG more highly. I can't wait to return for more lessons!

I already know I'm not going to be able to do justice to this experience with my review without repeating the word awesome too many times, but I'll give it a try. I chose North Shore Surf Girls for our Christmas Day Semi-Private Surf lessons based on their impeccable reviews and since I'm all about girl power, it knew was meant to be! I booked lessons for my daughter and I for Christmas Day that turned out to be the highlight of our trip to Oahu. Our instructor, Lai was incredible and when it was over, not only had we successfully caught just about every wave she sent us on, but we felt like we had just spent the day with a fun friend! Thanks so much, Lai - And, if you're ever in Santa Barbara, look us up!!! Yes, we surfed the North Shore on Christmas Day....It's a great story! Don't book lessons with anyone else.....NSSG's are AWESOME!!!
