North Shore Surf Girls was excellent! No one in our group had surfed before and we all caught a few waves by the end of the lesson. The instructors were all knowledgeable and gave clear instructions, and made it fun on top of that. Definitely would recommend!

Took our 13 & 17 year old daughters to the 3pm-5pm group lesson. We received a text with the address and arrived 10 minutes early. At 3:05 two women showed up wet and frazzled asking us to all sign the back of the same waiver bc they only had one left. They gave out rash guards to everyone and my daughters were last, the 13 year old got one that was too small and the 17 year old got one that was way too big. They asked the guys in the group to carry some foam boards down to the water for the lesson. The cove was super crowded with groups taking lessons. After some instructions on the sand it was 3:40 when they got into the water. There were 8 people in the group and they took them out 2 at a time to the waves, and depending on how long it took for waves to come along, the rest of the group sat on their boards waiting for a turn. Each of our girls went out to catch a wave around 4 times. At 4:45 they went back to the beach and a photographer showed them some photos he had taken of them on his laptop that he was selling for $30/person, he would send an email w a link. We didn’t buy them, the quality wasn’t great. Overall, the group lesson wasn’t worth the time or money. I would recommend a personal lesson so you’re not waiting around in the water for the majority of the time.
