TreeUmph is great for people who can participate and not so good for those who have to wait while the rest finish the course. The adventure experience consists of five rope courses, each consecutively harder. Of our group of 10 - six adults and four children, only two of us made it all the way to the fifth course. Everyone got to go on the zip line at the end, except for the smaller kids. Most of our group made it through course three. The guides were extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. The courses, even the easy ones, were very challenging. I found the mechanical equipment which keeps you attached, somewhat difficult to manage. The people that got to go on the courses loved it - thought it was amazing. The small children could do a special course, which was pretty challenging (age 7). However, once the kids and grown ups who couldn't complete the harder courses were done, there was nothing for them to do but wait at "base camp" - a group of picnic tables, bathrooms, and a very minimal snack bar. Only sodas, chips, candy bars, and packaged ice cream treats were available to eat. We were there from 11 to almost 5. I recommend you bring sandwiches and drinks for the climbers, as well as for the people staying at base camp. We thought it would be perfect if base camp had a water playground, or even a regular playground, so the kids who are waiting could have some more fun too.

We were there last week and spent way more time waiting around than actually traversing the course. We arrived at 10:45am for an 11:00 reservation and it took 35 minutes waiting in line just to get to the registration desk. Then we had to wait to be shown how to put on the gear (there was one guide for a group of about 20). Then we had to go to another station to practice using the gear. Then we had to watch a video and then do a small practice course (with the group of 20). We didn't start traversing the course until 12:20pm, and we were the first ones to go through the practice course, so the people behind us started much later. The course is good, but again, you spend way more time waiting for the people in front of you to finish then you do actually being on the elements. My 11-year-old got pretty bored. The guides at times seemed a little impatient, probably due to the volume of people. Unlike other courses where you have a time limit but can do as many courses as you want, you are expected to do each of the courses only once, and the fifth course is not for the faint of heart. The long zip line is fun. I think this would have been a good experience if not so crowded, or if they had a better way to move people through. We didn't get out of there until almost 4pm.

Thank you for choosing to visit TreeUmph! and taking the time to write a detailed review. We appreciate any and all feedback as it helps us improve and enhance our guests experiences with each new visit. As you mentioned, we are most active during the holiday and spring break season and therefore climb times can be a bit longer than usual. Our management team and guides work very hard to keep the pace of play moving, while limiting the number of guests that launch every half hour. We often suggest the earliest launch times for our more experienced guests especially in season, that way you may move at a faster pace if you wish. Thank you again for your feedback and we apologize that your family felt bored throughout the adventure because of wait time. We hope you consider another adventure with us in the future. -Ashley M.

Well run, reasonably priced, and both exciting and challenging. Be prepared to exert yourself, the levels are no joke, and you need to be (extremely) comfortable with heights if you expect to complete the course. One of the best I've experienced.
