What To Expect

Las Vegas

We proudly offer a designated bus driver (for safety) and step-on tour guide (for entertainment and information). Our drivers do not double as tour guides. Start your tour with pickup from select Las Vegas hotels and we don't take you to a central location to reload onto a different bus. You will go out on the bus you were picked up in. Limiting pick-ups and traveling on one bus allows us to save time and get back early. It can take hours to pull in and out of every hotel. By limiting pick-ups to 7 we are usually the first bus company to Hoover Dam. En route, your guide entertains and answers questions Hoover Dam, its history and/or the Las Vegas area.

We include a photo stop at the famous Welcome to Las Vegas Sign - Our guides will show you the best place to stand to get your photos to create a happy memory of your time in Vegas.

Boulder City

Travel through historic Boulder City, viewing the quaint Dingbat houses which were built for the Dam Workers, and the historic Hoover Dam Hotel. We also make a stop here so you can visit the Hoover Dam Museum.

Hoover Dam Bypass

Our buses have an added treat, a photo stop at the new Hoover Dam bypass bridge for the single best view available of Hoover Dam. Get those cameras ready for the best selfie ever!

Hoover Dam

On arrival, you’ll begin with a generator viewing. Travel 524 feet (160 meters) into the walls of Black Canyon to view the Nevada power-plant, generators and a 30-foot-diameter (9-meter) pipe inside one of the four giant diversion tunnels. Next, head into the Hoover Dam Visitor Center where you can see the history of Hoover Dam and view numerous exhibits that explain how the dam was built, how it operates and who benefits from the water and electricity. Walk on the Top Tour - This is an exclusive, fully guided comprehensive 45-minute walk over the top of the dam. Your knowledgeable guide will touch all aspects of the dam including electricity, outlet works, intake towers, concrete, diversion tunnels, water/drought, deaths, wages, earthquakes, artwork, WWII and more.

The trip was delightful! Joe, the comedian and Ken the driver were both exceptional. Joe was funny, knowledgeable and helpful to participants. He went above and beyond to provide information in a funny way. Ken was careful and maneuvered through lots of traffic. The tour of the dam was informational and amazing. Would highly recommend!

We booked the Ultimate Hoover Dam tour with Viator so had no idea it was a comedy tour! This was an absolute bonus!! Joe was our guide and Ken was our driver. Both were fantastic, Joe is a fantastic comedian and made the tour even better! Ken was an excellent driver and made sure everyone was hydrated by handing out cold water whenever we stopped off. We stopped at the 'Welcome to Vegas' sign but this was, well disappointing! We didn't bother to queue for a picture. The next stop was the the Mike O’Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge Plaza. Great views and perfect photo ops! Next stop was the Hoover Dam. The Hoover Dam itself was impressive and the tour was very informative. We saw everything we wanted to and felt we had enough time to do everything and see everything at the dam. You also drive through Boulder City which looks to be a pretty, quaint place. All the time we were on the bus Joe was giving us information on the area we were going through or on the attraction we were heading to with his brilliant comedic twist! On the way back we stopped at the Omelette House for lunch. Joe took our orders when we were about 20 minutes away and called them through. This meant when we arrived our food and drinks were served within 5 minutes! Amazing service! The food choices are limited but there is enough on there that most people would find something they wanted. This was a great day out and I would definite recommend this tour and would definitely recommend Comedy on Deck!
