What To Expect

Atlantis Submarines Waikiki

The Atlantis submarine Hawaii adventure begins with a short (approximately 10 minutes) shuttle ride out to the submarine boarding site. Descending below, your time underwater on the Oahu submarine tour is around 45 minutes. Returning to the world above, your shuttle is waiting to return you to land. The Oahu submarine tour dive site is home to many Hawaiian fish, coral and turtles. On this truly eye-opening experience, you'll visit sunken ships, airplanes and other artificial reefs. The submarine has a spacious air-conditioned interior, large view ports and comfortable seating. If you haven't taken a trip to the bottom of the ocean before, the Atlantis Submarine Oahu Adventure is a "must do" for the whole family during your visit to Hawaii. Check out the world's largest hi-tech 64-passenger submarine offers an enhanced amount of personal space and large viewports only available to Premium Tour passengers.

I was surprised at what a great experience this was. I was a little reluctant at first because I am a dive instructor on Oahu and spend lots of my time diving these sites that the submarine visits. It ended up being an excellent trip on Atlantis. Along with being able to see the sights visited from a different perspective and view, it was refreshing. It was a well done and informative tour. Highly recommend this trip in Oahu.

We had heard mixed reviews about the Atlantis Submarine tour, but decided we'd give it a shot. We're glad we did as we really enjoyed our time under the sea. We were lucky enough to have a marine biologist, Abby, as our guide during our tour. She had a ton of information she shared about the sub and the marine life. The water clarity was pretty good, so we saw a ton of marine life -- turtles, sting ray, shark, and tons and tons of fish! We also sunk down to some really deep depths! This is a great way to explore the ocean waters!

not knowing much about this excursion, we were looking for something to do on our last full day. We spoke with some people around the hotel and they all agreed that this was a fun trip to take.First we were picked up at the pier and given tickets to board. There are two different tickets gold tickets passenger ride in the larger sub which i think holds 68 people. There is a red ticket for those that want to ride in the smaller sub. The larger sub has a window for each passenger, were the smaller one people share. The sub is equipped with a headset so you can hear the guide in your language. After a brief safety message, the captain takes you to certain depths finally ending at the 100 ft depth were you are taken around on the ocean floor to see man marine life and a few man made reefs. It is a forty-five minute tour were you are then taken to the surface, and you are taken back to shore.
