I was not going to review, but they sent an e-mail asking us to review. We’ve gone whale watching all over the country, and outside the US. At times, we’ve not seen whales. So, this review has nothing to do with the fact that we didn’t see whales. The first hour was okay, but the crew did not engage with the passengers much. In the second hour, it was about 100% silence. And you’d think they were looking for where best to go, but instead, they were trolling close to shore, clearly killing time, and then when it was time to go back in, the crew circled a spot where two sea lions were sleeping, as if it was a Disney plant ala the Jungle Cruise. I really cannot recommend the two hour tour, at all. They said just as we left the dock that you can’t see whales without going 50 miles out, which would take a minimum of a four hour trip (back and forth). They then quickly said that dolphins are toothed whales, so we will see whales. Seriously?! Extremely disappointing.

We truly enjoyed our trip with Dana Wharf Whale Watching. Our naturalist was very knowledgeable and accommodating throughout the entire trip. They did a fantastic job finding sea life for us to enjoy! Highly recommend!

The crew were very friendly and put us right in the middle of two different dolphin pods. We saw common and bottlenose dolphins.
