Hi Folks , Dana Wharf whale watching is a fun outing . We saw lots of Big Bottle nosed Dolphins . And Common dolphins. The Captain was an expert at sliding up to the Dolphins .They have a naturalist on board to inform and ask questions . Are group had time to chat on comfortable benches. We got to sit on the upper deck at tables. The food was tasty . We had a Breakfast Sandwhich . Also the Wharf Gave us a 1/2 off promo code when We made reservations !! Our trip was 7/11/21. I highly recommend this company .

Great day for whale watching, didn’t see whales, but saw several pods of dolphins. In this unprecedented time, it was nice to be out on the ocean to enjoy the simplicity of watching the dolphins play. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. A must do if your in Dana Point!!!

Plenty of seating. Snack bar items were reasonably priced. Capt. Chase offered informative narration about wildlife and geography. He also allowed ample time for everyone to take photos. Would have given 5 stars but we left 20 minutes late and our trip was not extended by an equal amount of time. Great value with discount given to returning customers. Hopefully next time we will actually see whales. It was a bit of disappointment that we didn’t see any whales but we realize that’s beyond the control of tour operator.
