From the Pier to Paradise. You’ll sail by the beautiful shorelines of St. Pete, pass under the stunning Sunshine Skyway bridge and perhaps see a dolphin or two! This is the only charter offering service from downtown St. Petersburg traveling to Egmont Key and passing under the Sunshine Skyway.

You will have 2 hours on Egmont Key to explore the pristine beaches, historic lighthouse, ruins of Ft. Dade, and the amazing wildlife before your return trip. Please note you will have to step into shallow water when going on the island.

Unlike all other boat services to Egmont Key, The Pelican St Pete will stay with you on the island - bathrooms and a bit of shade if needed, available the entire time.

Absolutely recommend! Great way to spend half of the day — we are locals but felt like it was a mini-vacation in our own city. The crew was fantastic, professional and so kind and personable. The island was neat, and our kids thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride. Good vibes all around on this trip!

Captain John and his Crewmen Dave, Wade, and Evan deserves all the recognition. Their hospitality were exceptional, and we felt very secure & safe with them. I highly recommend The Pelican and they would be my choice again. The captain and his crew genuinely love what they do, and are thoughtful of their guests. Snorkeling gears, cute crossbody bag for collecting shells, and cold bottled water were offered. The boat was spacious and impeccably cleaned. The cabins were air conditioned, in case we wanted a shaded cool place to sit and rest from the sun. The boat was two tiered, offering numbers of beautiful views from different part of the decks. It’s a 4 hours excursion, which is exactly what we wanted to fill the day. The boat ride was about an hour to and from a small island. Once on the island, we had two hours to tour, swim, and collect shells. The crew docked the boat and waited for us, so we had access to the restroom and our belongings whenever we needed. We saw dolphins along the way, turtles roaming, and varies species of birds on the island. This was a week long family vacation with many activities planned (universal studio, water park, aquarium, etc) but my far everyone, ranging from age 15 to 72 years old, agreed that this was their favorite part of the trip and worth every penny.

Very friendly staff. Great boat - very comfy. Island was very nice. Plenty of time for swimming and walking around the island.
