We got on early in the day and were entertained by Kim for the first tour. We did the entire route in about an hour or so. We got off at the Aquarium for a bio-break and to take in the harbour area.
We got on the tour again, this time to get to Stop 6 for the Dreamland Wax museum (what a let down but that's another review). On this leg of the trip, we had Matty as our tour guide. Very entertaining, very informative. Good time had by all.
After the Dreamland Wax Museum (which you should skip) we had some lunch and got on another trolley, this time our driver was Johnny Beans! Quite simply the best of the bunch. Entertaining, funny, informative, knowledgeable, interactive, fantastic!
The tour is relatively short but does enable the rider to take in most of the important sites in Boston proper. A ton of history related to the War of Independence.
It is relatively short in nature and only operates one circuit. Not sure how it compares in price to the other Hop-on / Hop-off tours in Boston. With the Groupon we saved 50% which was worth it, not sure if it would be the same if we'd have paid full price.
If you're over 6' tall the seats might be a challenge. They are not meant for tall people and if it's packed you'll be uncomfortable as there is not a lot of leg room.
